Visit the Farmers' Market in Hastings only 15-20 minutes drive from Napier or the Black Barn Market in Havelock North, a further 5 minutes away.

Te Awanga, on the coast just south of Napier boasts the world famous Gannet Colony at Cape Kidnappers (tours overland or tide allowing on tractors down the beach) along with the internationally acclaimed Cape Kidnappers Golf Course. Te Awanga also has several quality wineries and makes for a great days outing.
